Rotating laser levels Australia

This is the laser that runs the slab. A rotating head throws a level (or grade) plane across the pad; a receiver on a staff tells you cut or fill in millimetres. Concreters, formworkers and civil crews live on these. Buy the laser, the receiver, the tripod and the staff together or you own a paperweight.

How to choose

  • House slabs and pads, level only: Rugby 610 or TUF 208.
  • Single-axis slope (match an existing fall): Rugby 620.
  • Two-way fall, carparks, HV work: Rugby 640. Dial-in dual grade: Rugby 680.
  • Green beam is for seeing the spot by eye in daylight — not so a machine receiver can ‘see it’. Match receiver colour to the laser, always.

Receivers

A rotating laser without a matching receiver is a paperweight. Staff receivers live in their own aisle. 360° units for plant are machine control — not the same product.

Read before you buy

  • Rugby 610 vs 620

610 is a one-button level laser for house slabs. 620 adds manual slope in one axis. Dual-fall is 640 or 680 — not the 620.

  • Pipe laser vs rotating laser

A pipe laser sits in the invert and throws grade down the run. A rotating laser throws a plane across the pad. Different tools. Do not mix them up.

  • Which receiver works with a Rugby?

Match the colour first. Red Rugby, red Rod Eye. Then pick 120, 140 or 160 by how many millimetres you actually need to read.

FAQ

Rugby 610 or 620?
610 is a one-button level laser — slabs and pads. 620 adds manual slope in one axis for matching a fall. Dual-fall is 640 or 680, not the 620.
Leica or TUF?
Rugby is the Australian site standard. TUF 208 is the kit you put on a second ute without crying when it gets buried in the pour.
What else do I need?
Receiver, bracket, tripod, 5 m staff. Li-ion if it runs all week. The All-in-One packs already have this. Do not buy the head on its own unless you already own the rest.
